Deborah Dugan, formerly executive v-p and managing director, Disney Publishing Worldwide, has been promoted to the newly created position of president of the group.

With retail revenues of $1.5 billion, publishing is the second largest segment within Disney Consumer Products. Dugan is credited with refocusing Disney publishing from a licensing model to a content-driven model, and has been the driving force behind the global reorganization of the division; the division derives approximately 60% of its revenues from international operations and 40% from domestic businesses. In addition to housing the Disney Children's Book Group, which has sales of $85 million, Disney Publishing includes four consumer magazines and 274 children's magazines.
