Further outings of her mystery series set in the world of antique dealing have been arranged for author Tamar Myers; agent Nancy Yost at Lowenstein-Yost Associates has sold Statue of Limitations (she believes in puns) and two other titles in a "nice" six-figure deal for U.S., Canadian and open market rights to Avon's Carrie Feron.... Photographer Tom Arma, known for his pictures of cute babies in playful costumes and poses, has signed a four-book deal with Abrams Books for Young Readers. Two will be photographic picture books, his first; the others will be board books. The deal, signed with Abrams's Howard Reeves, calls for Arma, who had previously published with Grosset & Dunlap, to work exclusively with Abrams.... A book by psychoanalyst Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer called Extraordinary Knowing: Making Sense of the Inexplicable in Everyday Life was preempted by Toni Burbank at Bantam with a "significant" sum for world rights; the author chose her after seeing 11 publishers, introduced around by agent James Levine.
