That's what novelist Katharine Weber offers in a new novel to be called The Little Women, which was just sold, as part of a two-book deal, to John Glusman at FSG. Weber, whose most recent novel was The Music Lesson, has written a tale of three young women who flee home and their romantic entanglements, and agent Gloria Loomis sold North American rights for a "handsome" six figures. The second novel will draw on the experiences of Weber's grandmother, who worked at the turn of the century at New York City's infamous Triangle Shirtwaist factory.
