Image Comics has signed with Diamond Book distribution to distribute such graphic novels as Age of Bronze and Powers and titles from its Top Cow unit to the book trade, library, warehouse club and mass merchandise markets.

Most of the graphic novel publishers that the bankrupt LPC Group served have chosen either CDS or Diamond. CDS now distributes some of the largest comics publishers, among them Marvel Comics, Tokyopop, CrossGen, Humanoids and Titan Books from the U.K.

Diamond distributes many smaller (with the exception of Dark Horse and Image) but highly respected graphic novel publishers: Dark Horse, Alternative Comics, Slave Labor Graphics, Comics One, Top Shelf, Oni Press, Central Media, Antarctic Press, El Capitan and others.

Former LPC client Drawn & Quarterly has yet to announce a new distribution agreement, although there are reports that D&Q will sign with Chronicle Books.
