The Random House Children's Group has undergone a shakeup in recent weeks: approximately nine people are leaving the company. Outright cuts were made in the group's brand-management area, specifically on the Star Wars team, and in editorial, where Karen Wojtyla, executive editor in the Knopf/Delacorte/Dell group, was let go. Earlier, Andrew Smith was replaced by Daisy Kline as v-p of marketing.

Over at the Crown Publishing Group, Steve Ross, who was one of three editorial directors recently promoted to publisher (News, Oct. 7), has promoted Kristin Kiser to be Crown's editorial director. She had been executive editor. At Three Rivers, Becky Cabaza, was given the same promotion. No replacements have been announced for the positions the two are vacating, nor has an editorial director been named for Clarkson Potter.
