Diane Cain has been named director of consumer-products marketing at Penguin Putnam Books for Young Readers. She was previously director of trade marketing, Random House Children's Books. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for such properties as Peter Rabbit, Spot and MadLibs, as well as licensing and promotional opportunities for the division's brands and characters. She will report to Gina Maolucci, v-p and director of marketing.

Random House Children's Books replaced Cain by naming Diana Blough executive director, trade marketing. Previously, Blough was director of trade title development in the Knopf Delacorte Dell Young Readers Group, and before that worked in the RHCB sales department. She will report to Daisy Kline, v-p of marketing.
