A book called Teen Angst? Naah... A Quasi-Autobiography, written two years ago when author Ned Vizzini was 19, became something of a cult read among teens, and now Miramax, in conjunction with Hyperion Books for Children, has signed him to a first novel as part of a two-book package aimed at the YA market, with some adult spillover. The novel, called Be More Chill, is about a bright but dorky youngster who acquires a gadget enabling him to become endlessly cool in all his doings. The North American rights buy was made by Hyperion's Alessandra Balzer, with Miramax's Devereux Chatillon, from agent Jay Mandel at William Morris, for publication next spring.
