Simon & Schuster's versatile Geoff Kloske, who has edited Dave Eggers as well as a variety of humor and other nonfiction titles, has been promoted from senior editor and will be taking on new responsibilities. In his new role as executive editor, he will oversee the paperback line. Kloske will continue to work on hardcovers—he notes he has more than a dozen books for the coming year—and will also concentrate on the reconfigured paperback line, mostly for reprints but with some originals.
