More than $2,300 was raised for the North Carolina chapter of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill at a benefit held in memory of Josh Seay, son of novelist Lee Smith and poet Jim Seay, at the Fearrington Village Barn adjacent to Keebe Fitch's McIntyre's Fine Books, in cooperation with Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh, Regulator Bookshop in Durham, Chapel Hill Bookshop and the Country Bookshop in Southern Pines.
