Bestselling author Nicholas Sparks is certainly having a sparkling year, both on the page for Warner Books and on film. His new movie, The Notebook, hit the box-office charts at #4 on its opening weekend. And both The Notebook and his earlier The Wedding are leading PW's paperback charts. Notebook is selling well in both the mass market and trade editions. In mass, copies in print total more than 4,756,720 (including 1,545,000 movie tie-in editions); in trade paper, the number is 644,370 (including 455,000 movie tie-in copies). There are 608,000 copies of the trade paperback of The Wedding. Sparks's nonfiction memoir, Three Weeks with My Brother, published this past April, has 526,000 copies in print.
