After 17 novels featuring Navajo Police detective Joe Leaphorn and Sgt. Jim Chee, Tony Hillerman continues to shine. His new bestseller, Skeleton Man, got excellent reviews, including a starred one in PW. HarperCollins reports 325,000 copies in print after three trips to press, while the HarperTorch mass market edition of Sinister Pig has 1.2 million copies after two printings. On December 9, Hillerman will be in Fort Worth, Tex., as the featured speaker at an event sponsored by the Fort Worth Star Telegram. A week before the event, the paper had sold more than 1,300 tickets.
