Clive Cussler's newest Dirk Pitt novel, Treasure of Kahn, landed at #1 on the fiction list at AMS last week, knocking James Patterson's Crossd own a notch to second. Cross held onto the top spot at Target last week and was second on Hastings' Web site (gohastings.com). In the # 1 spot at Hastings was Tony Hillerman's The Shape Shifter (which was # 3 at AMS). Runners-up at Target were Nicholas Sparks's Dear John and Michael Crichton's Next. Meredith's Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Bookshot up from #9 to the top slot on AMS's nonfiction list, dropping holiday favorite 2007 Guiness World Records to #2.
