Cashion to Abrams Image

David Cashion has been named executive editor of Abrams Image, the 2006-launched imprint of Harry N. Abrams dedicated to illustrated gift books. Cashion arrives from Penguin, where he was an editor acquiring for the Penguin, Viking and Plume imprints.

Landis, Duffy Up at Voice

Sarah Landis and Brendan Duffy have both been promoted to editor at Hyperion's Voice imprint. Landis has worked on such books as Born Survivor, The Monsters of Templeton and the forthcoming Irreplaceable. Duffy has worked on The Coldest Winter and recently acquired Damn It Feels Good to Be a Banker.

Hartley Up at Peter Pauper

John Hartley has been promoted from director of sales to v-p of the White Plains, N.Y., gift book publisher Peter Pauper Press. Hartley began working at Peter Pauper as director of key accounts in 2001; prior to that, he was at Borders Group.

Wasserman to Knovel

Barbara Wasserman has been named executive v-p of operations at Knovel (www.knovel.com), an online resource offering access to technical information. Wasserman was most recently executive v-p and COO of Oxford University Press.

Treadwell to Oceanview

Gayle Treadwell has joined the Ipswich, Mass.—based Oceanview Publishing as director of sales. In the newly created position, Treadwell will handle nationwide sales to independent booksellers, as well as author tours and events. Treadwell was most recently director of marketing and associate publisher of Harvard Business School Press.

Weissman to MLM

Ginny Weissman has joined Martin Literary Management as a literary agent. Weissman, an author who has also worked as a journalist, producer and manager, will be specializing in the Mind, Body & Spirit category. Weissman is based in Chicago.
