As part of the next phase of integrating the once separate Ingram Book Company, Ingram Digital and Lightning Source into the recently formed Ingram Content Group Inc., Skip Prichard, president and CEO of Ingram Content Group, has created two units organized around different markets. Phil Ollila has been named chief content officer and will head the content organization, and Shawn Everson has been appointed chief commercial officer and will oversee the company's library and retail operations. Prichard noted that the realignment allowed him to put together companies that had been acquired over the years (Couts, MyiLibrary, for example) or that had sprung up internally, such as Ingram Digital, into a more cohesive group. The goal, Prichard said, is to make it easier for Ingram customers to do business with the company by creating market-driven groups.

The content organization will house all publisher-related services, including Lightning Source, and Ingram Publisher Services, as well as Ingram Digital's CoreSource, the Ingram marketing group and Ingram Books' buying department.
