Workman Publishing’s children’s division has announced plans to expand its publishing program, including four new hires and three promotions. The addition of new editorial and production staff will support a larger children’s list and allow for an accelerated publishing schedule. Workman will continue to grow key nonfiction brands including Brain Quest, Star Wars Notebooks, Big Fat Notebooks, and Paint by Stickers. The new hires have yet to be announced.

Daniel Nayeri, director of children’s publishing, has been named publisher. Nathalie Le Du is moving up to executive editor, from senior editor; and Justin Krasner, formerly associate editor, has been named editor.

Publisher and editorial director Susan Bolotin will continue to oversee both the adult and children’s departments, and Page Edmunds will continue in her role as associate publisher. All publicity, marketing, and sales positions will remain the same.

Bolotin said in a statement, “The strength of our children’s program owes a great deal to our intrepid production and managing editorial departments, and to our sales, marketing, and publicity departments, who are constantly thinking of new ways to put Workman books into the hands of buyers, media, and consumers. Working together, we are redefining the middle school study guide, keeping kids smart all summer long, and making every children’s bookshelf more interesting and lively. And so, it is with great energy and even greater optimism that we are expanding the Workman children's group.”
