Mark Warren has been named v-p and executive editor of the Random House imprint, effective October 16. Warren, who was most recently executive editor at Esquire, will acquire and edit a wide range of nonfiction, with a focus on politics and history.
During a tenure spanning more than two decades at Esquire, Warren oversaw the magazine's political coverage. He has worked with writers including C. J. Chivers, Ayad Akhtar, Maryanne Vollers, John Edgar Wideman, and Dave Eggers.
In 2008, Warren co-authored former U.S. Senate majority leader Harry Reid’s memoir, The Good Fight.
At RH, Warren will report to Andy Ward, v-p and editor-in-chief of little Random.
