Penguin has settled its differences with Amazon and its frontlist e-book titles should begin appearing in the Kindle bookstore no later than Monday, CEO David Shanks and publisher Susan Petersen Kennedy confirmed in an interview Wednesday morning at BEA. “The deal is done,” said Shanks without elaborating on what the dispute was about. “We just needed to re-do some things.” Penguin’s new e-books have not appeared on Amazon since Penguin moved to the agency model on April 1. With the agreement with Amazon, Penguin’s e-book titles are available for all major devices, Kennedy added.
