New York City-based independent publisher Skyhorse Publishing has entered into a three-year, 30-book licensing agreement with Norstedts of Sweden to acquire world English rights to a wide range of titles on crafts, health, fitness and cooking. Skyhorse publisher and founder Tony Lyons said the deal with Nordstedt is a continuation of a working relationship between the two houses. “They publish beautiful books and we have already been successful with a numer of their tiles.”

The deal marks Skyhorse’s 5th anniversary this fall and its growth over the period. The house has grown from one imprint to five and from eight employees to more than 40. Skyhorse reported sales of $17 million last year. The publishing list focuses on business, art, fiction, regional titles, and children’s categories.

Skyhorse is distributed in the U.S. by W.W. Norton; Thomas Allen & Son in Canada; and Constable & Robinson in the U.K. and the European Union.
