Abdulrazak Gurnah, winner of the 2021 Nobel Prize for Literature, will be among 85 literary guests and authors participating in this year's Sharjah International Book Fair in November. The event will also feature 1,500 publishers, the largest number in the fair's 40-year history.
The seventh Sharjah International Library Conference ran from November 10-12, in an all-virtual format. A total of 830 librarians from 53 different countries participated.
The Sharjah International Book Fair opens November 4 and will run for 10 days. It will be a hybrid virtual and live event, and is among the few in-person book fairs to take place since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
