Sales, Finance & Inventory Analysis
•Oversee all aspects of inventory maintenance by working with logistics team, vendors and internally with accounting, finance and IS departments to ensure data integrity and quality control.
•Review inventory on a weekly basis and re-plan for core customers in order to maximize sales and inventory turn.
•Identify excess inventory and make suggestions to Direct Sales team. Negotiate publisher buy backs where appropriate and propose non-returnable inventory moves to bargain.
•Provide input on financial rolling sales and returns forecasts by customer and update inventory forecasts on a monthly basis.
•Administer all system transactions and communications regarding the day-to-day club business for Silver Dolphin. Will include inputting all new titles (Oracle, TMM and Helix) into databases, updating information, reserving inventory for customers, and overseeing Purchasing Coordinator to ensure all shipments arrive in a timely way and meet all customer deadlines.
•Analyze and assess all warehouse club sales (Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s) on Silver Dolphin business and make recommendations to Associate Publisher. Review gross and net sales, margins and individual title performance, and forecast future reprints for each customer based on this data.
•Work closely with planning and allocations team to accurately review comparable titles and recommended quantities prior to presenting to customers and finalizing overall buys.
•Coordinate with B&T International subsidiaries on Silver Dolphin projects to maximize print runs and cost efficiencies. Set up video conferences, prepare presentations in Powerpoint and Excel, and review sales and new titles with each office.
•Provide input on financial rolling sales and returns forecasts by customer and update inventory forecasts on a monthlybasis.
•Directly drive revenue by assessing opportunities for price increases and identifying product for opportunistic sales domestically and internationally.
•Negotiate costs and terms of agreement with vendors and set competitive pricing for customers ensuring it is in line with market value and margin goals.
•Stay abreast of industry trends, research comparable titles and analyze sales history to determine optimum price, quantity and distribution per customer.
•Direct vendors on all phases of the safety testing process and liaison with our QA Manager regarding the review and approval of each component and spec until receipt of final passing test results.
•Present new projects and reprints to the executive publishing board for approval which includes analyzing the profitability of the overall business, reviewing profit margins, comparable sales data and addressing all publishing board questions and concerns.
SalesExecution and Marketing:
•Act as a primary liaison with foreign and domestic vendors to input, compile and communicate all product specifications, delivery dates and information related to Silver Dolphin titles.
•Create presentations for all domestic and international warehouse club customers; B&T customers; and trade customers as needed. Select appropriate product, run all pertinent and historical sales information, collect quality-selling materials, and work with vendors to compile pricing, specs and PO deadlines.
•Oversee the execution of co-edition sales. Send out samples to prospective publishers, enter sales orders, and create invoices for foreign publishers.
•Monitor all work-for-hire contracts and invoices and track against data in financial spreadsheets.
•Set up new vendors, publishers and printers in Oracle system and coordinate this activity with account set up department.
•Responsible for communicating all price, spec and date changes to marketing and internal and external sales teams.
•Compile and manage all product information related to seasonal catalogs, as well as the execution of sales kits.
•Complete seasonal buy reports for B&T Merchandisers and present frontlist titles for purchase.
•Provide backup support as needed for sales through Baker & Taylor sales channels on order entry and tracking
•Perform related work as needed, including special projects

•Capable of performing financial analysis and forecasting
•Must have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Must be highly detail oriented and analytical.
•Must have ability to work in a faced paced environment
•Some knowledge of product development, publishing and the creative process helpful, but not required.
•Demonstrated problem solving and customer service skills.
•Demonstrated managerial experience, negotiation and presentation skills
•Experience with computers and ability to operate up to six hours per day(Word,Excel,PowerPoint).
•Experience with Oracle helpful
•Ability to work long hours during stressful seasonal peaks
•College /University degree preferred.
•5-7years experience in publishing or relevant product development experience.
