SAGE is currently seeking a Video Editorial Assistant to work with the Publisher and Licensing Editor to support their activities to secure content for an agreed number and size of video subject collections per year for the academic library market. Using a mixture of effective relationship management, strong IT (e.g. Microsoft Office, Skype), organizational and administrative skills, this position will work expertly and quickly with a high volume of diverse tasks in an exciting and fast-paced area of the business. This position will work with other members of the SAGE Video team, Editorial Boards of the video collections as well as other external clients and academics to ensure editorial workflows are kept on track and that systems are up-to-date.

This position is part of the global Library Editorial Team at SAGE, working in a dynamic part of the business to significantly increase SAGE’s online product portfolio for our library customers.

Qualifications include, but not limited to, the following:

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

•A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the Social or Behavioral Sciences required.
•One year of office experience required.
•No previous publishing experience required, but candidates demonstrating evidence of wanting to develop a career in Higher Education publishing (especially in Editorial) will be preferred.
•Excellent time management, organizational skills and efficient execution of tasks
•Strong written and communication skills
•Must be comfortable working in a remotely managed position
•Strong skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Outlook and Skype.

•Experience with streaming video or academic multimedia products will be of considerable interest.
•Ability to prioritize and focus to drive successful delivery
•Ability to work globally, building relationships with individuals in other offices
•Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively
• Ability to work in a highly energized team and comfortable with customer-facing and business communication
