Time Inc. Retail, the Sales and Marketing division of Time Inc. responsible for Time Inc Book and Magazine sales at retail outlets,is seeking a results-driven New Business Manager to expand sales of Time Home Entertainment Books into new retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

Open new retail sales opportunities for our growing book business through networking, pursuing available leads, attending trade shows, prospecting calls and other avenues.

Manage all Prospecting, Sales and Distribution activities for target accounts, including researching retailers, developing successful sales presentations and facilitating logistics

Develop merchandising concepts to support sales opportunities

Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, finance, operation and editorial) and external Distributors to achieve sales success

Successfully manage and develop the relationship at and overall business with all opened accounts

Develop and prepare regular status reports to track progress against targets

Work with management team to develop strategic plan and tactics for book sales growth

Skills/ Requirements:

College Degree

5+ years experience in Sales and/or Business Development, preferably in the book industry or products with similar retail footprint.

Demonstrated success in developing new business and exceeding sales targets

Proactive, motivated, self starter with strong work ethic

Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and within team environment and to adapt to changing priorities

Excellent Presentation and verbal and written communication skills

Must be willing to travel throughout the U.S. for sales calls

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint. Comfortable using various data portals to secure needed sales data and information
