Position Description:
Palgrave Macmillan is seeking an experienced journals marketing professional to join our friendly and hard-working global marketing team.

Major Responsibilities:

• Managing the global marketing program for a list of 15 social science and business journals
• Planning and implementation of marketing campaigns including digital, email, direct mail
• Devising and managing annual budgets for your titles
• Organizing and attending conferences in North America on behalf of the wider journals team (weekend travel may be required)
• Implementing and evaluating customer and competitive research, market conditions, and planning changes as needed
• Working closely with our North American online sales team to drive sales and renewals
• Sourcing US mailing data and arrange US mailings for colleagues based in the UK

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Must be able to establish, develop, and maintain excellent working relationships, particularly with colleagues in marketing, sales and editorial
• 1st rate organization and time management skills – able to progress several major projects at once.
• IT literate
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Numerate, with ability to analyze data and draw appropriate commercial conclusions

Experience Needed:

• 1-2 years experience of a marketing role within publishing

Educational Background Required:

• Bachelors Degree
