Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing marketing efforts, including promotions, to support trade sales across multiple publishing groups. This role provides sales support and resources for the salesforce to maximize sales. This professional plans and develops materials for industry events and conferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing, coordinating logistics and creating materials for Regional Shows/Conferences and industry events, such as ABA, and Comic Cons; as Book Club Marketing Task Force Member, plan events and large scale outreach
• Prepare regular communications to Sales Representatives highlighting title information, promotions, and marketing opportunities
• Supervise creation of digital catalogs, including mass market and audio and Edelweiss presence
• Provide ongoing sales support for sales team including seasonal sales promotions and overall selling needs
• Facilitate in-house meetings, conferences and presentations
• Serve as an account marketing liaison between the Sales Department and Little, Brown and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• 4-6 year of marketing or sales experience in publishing
• Well-organized and capable of juggling multiple projects at one time; personable
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, Database and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written); confident presenter with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings to a variety of audiences.
• Willingness to travel
• Experience managing a team
• Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through, managing time effectively.
• Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.
• Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; takes the lead in inspiring others to work together for mutual benefit.
• Operates ethically: admits mistakes, treats others with respect, trust, and dignity, demonstrates honest and ethical behavior, and follows through on commitments and agreements.
