Skills:
The ideal applicant will have a strong combination of technical skills and productions skills
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 applications in CS5.5, QuarkXpress, font management, FTP clients, and MAC OS
Strong knowledge of ePub coding (XML, HTML, CSS)
Familiarity with differences between Amazon, Apple and Nook format requirements and the eBook environment.
Ability to problem-solve and trouble shoot print layout issues regarding styling, formatting that may impact on effectiveness of conversion.
Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
High skill level in software/hardware troubleshooting
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Exceptional attention to detail

Job Description/Responsibilities

This position is full time temporary (approx one year)
• Creates eBook editions for various retail partners using conversion software and out of house conversion partners and personal skills.
• Monitors and maintains schedules as agreed and set by Digital Manager
• Works with the Digital Manager to create special digital projects.
• Manages the receipt and internal approval process of ePub files for QA, including making changes when necessary.
• Responsible for the delivery of approved ePubs and metadata to various distribution channels.
• Manage the metadata for eBooks including updating title management systems & reviewing titles in digital stores to ensure correct on-sale date, book titles, and product descriptions
• Creation of marketing materials including in-book ads.
