To ensure we are meeting the changing needs of new and existing channels, Elsevier’s S&T Books’ channel marketing group continues to evolve. We are looking to add technical marketers with expertise in metadata and discoverability, as well as experts in conversion. Whether our product is a print book from Amazon, aggregated content from a third-party provider, or an e-book from our own ecommerce platform, we need data-driven marketing professionals.

The following role is now open: SEO COPYWRITER for Science & Technology Products

We are seeking an individual with exceptional search engine optimized copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, who has a proven track record of producing clear and compelling SEO/online/eCommerce copy for a range of science and technology products. The successful candidate will have extensive experience writing for conversion and comfortable with a varied marketing toolkit: print, video, web, mobile, blogs, social, SEO, email, advertising, press releases, e-catalogs.

Responsibilities include:

-Produce persuasive content for all key title campaigns (online product descriptions, email, advertising, publicity), and polish copy for key title collateral (e-catalogs, etc.).
-Create online and eCommerce calls to action and unique selling positions for consumer campaigns across multiple channels based upon positioning supplied by editorial.
-Evaluate key metrics captured from completed campaigns and adapt copy and content strategies to increase effectiveness, increase conversions, and drive sales.
-Monitor best practices in writing for the web (including writing for conversion and writing for mobile devices), social media trends, web usability, web design and business and industry trends.
Interact with and respond to needs of a varied set of stakeholders including portfolio marketing managers, channel managers, e-commerce directors, editors and authors.
-Backup content decisions with sound marketing rationale and clear understanding of how consumers consume digital messages and how to trigger consumer engagement.
-Write copy that responds to market needs, realities, risks and opportunities and achieves business objectives that are grounded in customer needs.
-Manage multiple projects, priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment
