Odyl is looking for a highly motivated part time editorial and social media marketing intern who has demonstrated experience using social media, either personally or professionally, and a proven ability to work independently. Based on performance, Editorial Interns can become Riffle Editors ( highly visible to Odyl’s clients--the Big Six Publishers and numerous #1 NYT bestselling authors--as well as all Riffle users.

At Odyl you’ll be an integral part of the development of our social book discovery site Riffle. You can either work from home or in our spacious Soho offices with a dynamic team of publishing and web experts who use technology and content to connect authors and publishers with readers on a large scale. Working at Odyl will give you insight into how leading edge marketing, PR, and social media work. This position will provide invaluable experience if you are considering a future in publishing, whether it be editorial, brand marketing, social media, or digital publishing.

Job Description:

Editorial Intern
- Curate compelling news and editorial content related to a specific category or genre of books and authors
- Help shape and implement marketing and PR campaigns

Strategic Projects
- Research related to reader discovery habits
- Consolidation of user feedback
- Liaise with influential blogger, bookseller and librarian communities to understand and support their needs
- Contribute new feature ideas for Riffle

Social Media Marketing
- First hand experience with Facebook Page marketing and insights a must
- Maintain a Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest account to acquire and retain Riffle users in your category
- Use link sharing, blogger outreach, ads and other creative means to support user growth in your category
