Job Description:

BookBub seeks a talented individual who has a mix of great trade publishing knowledge, analytical skills, and management experience to lead editorial operations for our fast-growing community of book lovers. Responsibilities include:
* Managing a team that selects which books to feature and how to merchandise them
* Leading daily email newsletter and website content production
* Supervising community management and member support
* Helping determine service improvements to increase member engagement
* Establishing and enforcing BookBub's editorial voice and standards

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates for the position will have:
* Deep familiarity with books of many genres and their audiences
* Great merchandising instincts and the ability to delight readers through their editorial leadership
* Strong analytical skills to perform tests and understand subscriber tastes
* Excellent communication and writing skills
* Management experience at a digital media property or a bookstore a big plus
* Great leadership skills with a willingess to manage the details while the organization is still small.
* Excitement for a fast-paced, rapidly changing start-up environment where work can occasionally get chaotic and be required at off hours
* A Bachelor's degree from a selective college
