|Not-for-profit, national trade group seeks associate for member relations team. ABA is dedicated to serving its members—independent bookstores—through education, conferences, technical support, advocacy, and with business products and services. |
The Member Relationship Manager (MRM) position is the primary liaison with the membership for all Association matters. Each MRM handles his or her own regional grouping of stores. In addition, the MRM will become familiar with all Association activities; create execute ongoing member communications; and oversee and process member applications and renewals.
Candidates should be customer-service oriented, personable, cool under pressure, extremely well organized, a good communicator, and proficient in Excel and Word. Bookselling or publishing experience extremely desirable, as is familiarity with social media and database and web content management systems. Writing and copyediting experience a plus.
