Description
RedNova Learning Inc., part of the Macmillan Publishing Group, is looking for a motivated, proactive and experienced Editorial Project Manager to join its new English Language Teaching (ELT) publishing company setting up in Palmetto Bay, Miami, FL.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of editorial project management working on complex book and digital publishing projects with large and diverse teams (internal and external). They will also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

The function of the Editorial Project Manager will be to support colleagues in a range of roles (editors, designers, production, media research, operations, etc) engaged on projects across the different market sectors, ensuring projects are kept on schedule and within budget. The role will also involve the development and implementation of new publishing procedures, and delivery of associated training, to ensure quality control at all stages of the editorial process.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent team-working and organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate:

Extensive project management experience across a number of complex book and digital publishing projects, including direct responsibility for scheduling and budgeting
Strong organizational, project management and administrative skills
Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
Previous experience of line managing and/or mentoring
Previous experience of commissioning and supervising editorial freelancers
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Enthusiasm for improving publishing processes
High level of attention to detail
Good working knowledge of MS Project
Basic knowledge of web publishing (HTML, CSS, XML, etc)
Basic understanding of content management systems
Teaching experience and a recognized TEFL qualification (desirable)
Interest in Latin American or East Asian culture and education
Knowledge of a second language
