MAJOR DUTIES: is responsible for selling Abingdon Press product and increasing sales through two important customer channels. The incumbent works cross functionally with UMPH departments to effectively and efficiently implement all customer service processes and relationships for Trade sales. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all timely and accurate communication to meet the expectations of each customer. The incumbent also implements and manages an up-sell program with the Wholesale Customer Service Representatives. Additionally, the incumbent develops and implements a strategy for the inside sales team to increase sales through CBA (independent Christian bookstores), academic, and international customers via inbound and outbound sales calls.

REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience in publishing. Experience managing a sales and/or customer service team desired. Business to business sales and experience and knowledge of church operations is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent personal computer skills including experience with the internet, e-mail, and social media. Good basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages). Broad knowledge of all product lines, as well as an understanding of sales techniques related to customer segments and buyers of these products.
