Medikidz is the world's first company dedicated to providing medical information for young children. Through a series of over 60 graphic novels, we explain medical information to children and their families in a way that they can understand. All of our content is written by doctors and peer reviewed by leading specialists and we work with patients and patient associations to ensure that our content is not only medically correct but relevant to the experiences that patients go through.

The Publishing Sales Manager is responsible for bringing all Medikidz titles, both print and digital format, to the trade, retail (online and offline), education and library markets in the US, and to create a network of Medikidz publishing
partners and resellers across the country. He/she will also promote the Medikidz brand to all of the above markets and work to maximise revenue for the company through new business development and up-selling.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Conduct market and company research in order to establish new business contacts for all US publishing sales
• Establishing Medikidz publishing partners through sourcing and managing co-edition or licensing
agreements.
• Keep resellers informed about new Medikidz titles, and continually up-selling to existing trade accounts and generating new business opportunities
• Deal with all direct and trade account sales within the US, as well liaison with an external sales representation agency, educational/schools/library suppliers and online retailers
• Arrange and attending client meetings, conference calls, and book fairs
• Ensure accurate and complete record of all client activity on the CRM (Salesforce) database
• Create and edit marketing and publicity collateral for all trade contacts and resellers with colleagues in Design and editorial
• Give details of publishing revenues on monthly basis and assisting in the assessment of the financial viability of
all publishing agreements
• Manage sales and financial reports from US distributor
• Oversee fulfillment of orders via regular contact with distributor
• Deal effectively with all customer service enquiries
• Manage and forecast stock levels
• Update all publishing contacts on title promotions in line with various health awareness dates
• Establish with colleagues in Editorial and Production publishing schedules and dates for all upcoming Medikidz
titles• Inform all publishing contacts on new Medikidz title pipeline
• Work with online colleagues on regularly updating and managing the Medikidz online bookshop
• Create promotional collateral for all new Medikidz titles

Key skills:

• 3-5 years of sales experience within the publishing industry
• Knowledge of and experience in education/schools markets
• Experience of e-book development and sales ideal
