The NIV Brand Manager is responsible for managing all business, product, program and marketing aspects of the NIV brand, the world’s best-selling and most-popular Bible translation.


• Develop strategies, goals, objectives to grow market share by 10%
• Understand, communicate and manage against NIV’s SWOT
• Drive revenue and profitability in all product categories
• Engage cross-functional leaders in Sales, Marketing, Production, partners, etc.
• Lead adoption, influence & endorsement of NIV in church, ministry & academy
• Clearly articulate and communicate the vision, purpose, and product positioning for the NIV brand and each brand included within the portfolios
• Develop an opportunity matrix to understand current brand and product portfolio offerings and identify opportunities for new product development
• Create understanding of unmet consumer needs and help to identify opportunities for new product development
• Ensure new product introductions are appropriately planned/ aligned with key functional partners Sales, SC, and Finance
• Develop and evolve business models that maximize the success of HCCP
• Lead research efforts to mine key consumer and competitive insights and identify evolving trends that will guide and inform brand, product, packaging, and marketing strategies
• Develop appropriate marketing programs to engage consumers with brands and products included in portfolios
• Manage agency relationships to ensure communication strategies, plans, and tactics
• Work with Publishing/Sales to develop pricing architecture for products in the portfolios including every day and promo pricing
• Create right price/size architecture to win in market
• Develop optimal assortment strategies for brands factoring in consumer, customer, and HCCP needs
• Partner with Sales organization to ensure pricing architecture and assortment strategies are implemented with customers
• Understand evolving trends affecting brand and product portfolios
• Track and Analyze key plan drivers
• Analyze competitor performance and programs
• Identify and leverage market opportunities
• Assess impact on portfolios and develop solutions to meet customer/consumer needs
• Work with key functional partners including Publishing, Sales, Research/Consumer Insights, Supply Chain, Finance, and others to deliver winning consumer and customer plans
• Manage resource requirements (financial, human resource planning, etc.) to deliver portfolio and marketing objectives
• Elevate skills and competencies of Brand Management, Marketing and Insights functions
• Provide clear leadership and direction for brand management/marketing team
• Develop talent on the brand management/marketing team through clear objective setting, feedback, and day-to-day coaching
• Ensure a pipeline of talent with career plans for individuals and succession planning within HCCP
• Work collaboratively to deliver strategic goals and objectives across HCCP for the brand and product portfolios
• Develop and continuously improve core processes
• Assist in development of 3-year strategic plan
• Work across business units to ensure consistencies


• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Related Field
• 5-7 years of related work experience
• Proficient with MS Office and MAC applications, especially PowerPoint
• Strong communication, team player, detail oriented and experienced in multi-tasking
• Preferred Publishing and/or Christian Marketing
