This individual will lead the creative development of contemporary characters for girls ages 3-12; to translate those characters into content, including books (fiction and nonfiction), digital content, events, and experiences; and to assist with the development of entertainment properties such as movies, television shows, and theater productions.

The Executive Editor will lead and motivate; formulate, direct, and approve concepts; approve final manuscripts; review and discuss projects under development; problem-solve content development issues; lead brainstorming of future ideas for development; and also develop and edit her/his own titles.


Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field such as English or Journalism
• Minimum of 7 years’ content development experience
• Previous supervisory experience
• Excellent fiction editing skills
• Multimedia content development for children

Strong candidates will have:
• Experience with entertainment properties
• Experience in character/series creation
• Experience in content strategy development
