
Doubleday Picks Up Dan Brown’s Next Robert Langdon Novel
Bill Thomas, EVP, publisher, and editor-in-chief at Doubleday, acquired North American rights to The Secret of Secrets by Dan Brown from Heide Lange at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. Doubleday VP and executive editor Jason Kaufman will edit the novel, which is the sixth by Brown to feature Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon— the protagonist, most famously, of The Da Vinci Code. An announced first printing of 1.5 million copies has been set for September 9, and the book will be published simultaneously across seventeen territories in addition to the U.S., including the U.K. (Transworld), Brazil (Sextante), Czech Republic (Argo), Denmark (Politikens), Finland (WSOY), France (JC Lattes), Germany (Bastei Lüebbe), Italy (Rizzoli), Netherlands (Luitingh-Sijthoff), Poland (Sonia Draga), Portugal (Planeta Portugal), Slovakia (Ikar), Spain (Planeta), Catalonia (Columna), Sweden (Albert Bonniers Förlag), Turkey (Altin Kitaplar), and Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial USA.
