Bestselling author Holly Jackson, creator of the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, will publish her next novel, Five Survive, with Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books. Senior editor Kelsey Horton acquired world rights from Sam Copeland at Rodgers, Coleridge & White. The standalone thriller will be published on November 29, with a first printing of 500,000 copies. The book follows a group of five friends on a road trip for spring break; when they discover their RV breakdown was done purposefully with the intent of stranding them in the middle of the night, the friends begin to uncover buried secrets about one another.

Jackson launched her career in 2020 with the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, the novel that kicked off her bestselling mystery series. The four-part series gained popularity on TikTok with close to 20 million views under the hashtag #AGoodGirlsGuidetoMurder, and has sold more than two million copies in North America. Five Survive taps into the author’s signature mystery elements in new ways.

“It’s different, but I hope readers will find all the things they loved about AGGGTM in this book,” Jackson said in a release. “Buckle up—it’s going to be an intense eight hours, and not everyone will survive the night!”
