Needed: Please send information on adult and children’s/YA fiction and nonfiction frontlist titles by and about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, including South and Southeast Asians and members of other Asian diaspora communities in North America. Themes may include the crisis of racist hate crimes, language, immigration and assimilation, the working poor and family life, mental health, food, internment, military service, cultural achievements, and LGBTQ issues, among other topics important to the AAPI community. Pub. dates: April 1 through August 31. New titles only, please; no reprints. Send pitches and pdfs to social@publishersweekly.com and put “Call for Info: AAPI Adult” or “Call for Info: AAPI Children’s/YA” in the subject line.
