Sally Rooney Wins British Book of the Year

Sally Rooney’s Normal People (Faber & Faber) won Book of the Year at the British Book Awards on Monday. Michelle Obama’s Becoming (Viking), which was also in the running for Book of the Year, won Non-Fiction, Narrative Book of the Year and Audiobook of the Year.

Additional winners include David Williams, author of The Ice Monster, which won Children’s Fiction Book of the Year, and Leila Slimani, author of Lullaby, which won Debut Book of the Year. For a complete list, click here.
