Cengage, McGraw-Hill Postpone Merger

Textbook publishers Cengage Learning Holdings and McGraw-Hill Education extended their merger agreement to May 1, as countries including the U.S. Department of Justice, are still reviewing the deal.

The companies will remain independent until the merger is completed, a spokesperson for the companies told Reuters. First proposed in May 2019, the merger will bring the number of major textbooks publishers from three to four.
