Brian Teare Wins Four Quartets Prize

Brian Teare’s poem “Toxics Release Inventory (Essay on Man)” from his collection Doomstead Days (Nightboat Books, 2019) has won this year's Four Quartets Prize, which is presented annually by the T. S. Eliot Foundation and the Poetry Society of America. The purse is $21,000. This year's finalists were Ilya Kaminsky for Deaf Republic (Graywolf Press, 2019) and Prageeta Sharma for Grief Sequence (Wave Books, 2019).
