2015 Ashmead Award Winner Named

Hannah Wood, an associate editor at Harper, is the fifth recipient of The Ashmead Award, the publishing prize named in honor of book editor Lawrence Peel “Larry” Ashmead, who passed away in 2010.  

Wood joined Harper in 2013, where she now works with Claire Wachtel.  Wood's list includes Love is Red by Sophie Jaff, An Innocent Fashion by RJ Hernandez, and Not Just Jane: Exploring the Forgotten Ladies of British Literature by Shelley DeWees.

As part of the award, Wood will attend the Yale Publishing Course in New Haven, Ct.
