Schiffer Acquires Thrums Books

Schiffer Publishing has acquired Thrums Books, a publisher of crafts books focused on "giving voice to the stories of Indigenous craft traditions from around the world" and "telling the human stories behind the cloth and to reflect the importance of cloth in the history and social evolution of a culture." Founded by Interweave Press founder Linda Ligon in 2007, the publisher has a backlist of approximately 24 titles, and released two new books this year: How to Weave a Navajo Rug and Other Lessons from Spider Woman, as well as a revised edition of True Colors: World Masters of Natural Dyes and Pigments.
