Inaugural Issue of 'Astra' Literary Magazine on Sale April 12
The first issue of Astra Magazine, a new international literary magazine, will be on newsstands around the world and online this April 12, 2022.
The inaugural issue, which has the theme "Ecstasy," will feature fiction, narrative nonfiction, and poetry alongside stunning art, comics, and photography. Included in the issue is a mix of American and international writers—including Mieko Kawakami, Ada Limón, Fernanda Melchor, Ottessa Moshfegh, Sayaka Murata, Kate Zambreno, and others—with a third of the magazine in translation.
The next print issue of Astra Magazine, “Filth,” will be published on October 11, 2022, and “Lust” on April 11, 2023. Astra’s online publication, which is live as of April 2022, will supplement the print magazine with book reviews, essays, and cultural criticism.
