We Need Diverse Books Announces Second Black Creatives Fund Workshop

We Need Diverse Books (WNDB) has announced the launch of the Black Creatives Fund’s second annual Revisions Workshop, underwritten by Penguin Random House. The program supports unpublished Black writers with completed manuscripts and will feature faculty including PRH authors and editors.

A total of 12 writers, including six middle grade/YA and six adult writers, will be selected for the workshop. They will have the opportunity to receive technical guidance via writing coaches and peer critique throughout the revision process. All 12 writers will be awarded stipends and two finalists, one adult and one YA/MG, will receive larger grants. Publishing deals for top performers will be strongly considered.

Applications for the Revisions Workshop open on March 7 at 10 am EST and will close on April 1, 2022, at 11:59 pm ET. For more information and to apply, please visit the WNDB website
