Phil Cohen Joins Paramount as Senior V-P of Literary Affairs
Phil Cohen has joined Paramount Pictures as senior v-p of literary affairs.
In this newly created role, Phil will be based in New York City, and "will serve as the studio’s eyes and ears in the publishing world," said Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group co-presidents Daria Creek and Michael Ireland in a statement, identifying books and other literary properties to option and adapt into feature films for Paramount Pictures.
Cohen previously served as literary executive at Warner Bros., where he was a literary executive responsible for sourcing and developing books, comics, long-form articles and podcasts for Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, Warner Bros. TV, and HBO Max. Prior to that, he was in literary development at Sony Pictures Entertainment, and started his career in book and publishing rights at CAA.
