Cormac McCarthy Photo Exhibition Opens at Center for Fiction

An exhibition of photos of Cormac McCarthy by literary photographer Beowulf Sheehan has opened at the Center for Fiction, timed to the release of McCarthy's new novel, The Passenger. Taken during one summer day in 2014, these photographs, the Center said, "explore the power, humor, humility, mystery, and poetry of the icon of fiction as he prepares his first novel in sixteen years." The exhibition will run through December 13, when a public closing reception will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET. Partial proceeds from print sales will support the Center’s programming.
