NCAC Rejects Calls to Cancel Coney Barrett Book

The National Coalition Against Censorship has issued a statement rejecting the recent call by publishing professionals for PRH to cancel its forthcoming book by Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. The NCAC joins PEN America as the latest free speech organization to condemn the petition.

In the statement, the NCAC called the petition "deeply ironic." It asks rhetorically, "Is their [the signers of the letter] goal any different than what the book banners are seeking?... Both groups are seeking to suppress ideas that they believe are harmful."
