Brooklyn Book Festival 2023 to Be Held September 24–October 2

The Brooklyn Book Festival will return to the borough September 24–October 2. This year's festival will honor writer and critic Hilton Als with its annual Best of Brooklyn Award. Its poster was designed by children’s book illustrator and artist Oliver Jeffers.

The centerpiece Festival Day and Literary Marketplace will be held on October 1. A day of virtual programming is slated for September 24, and September 30 will be devoted to children's programming. 

Participating authors include Jamel Brinkley, Nicole Chung, Samantha Irby, Catherine Lacey, Victor LaValle, Walter Mosley, Joyce Carol Oates, Jenny Odell, Maggie Smith, Emma Straub, Brandon Taylor, Colson Whitehead, and C. Pam Zhang.
