Klopotek Sells Majority Stake

The Klopotek Group, the-based international developer of publishing software, has sold a majority stake in the company to the Valsoft Corp.

Headquartered in Montreal, Valsoft describes itself as a company that “acquires and develops vertical market software companies through which each business can deliver the best mission-critical solutions for customers in their respective industries or niche.”

Founded in 1992, Klopotek’s software is used by more than 400 publishers who have more than 3,000 imprints. The company was started by Ulrich Klopotek von Glowczewski, who is stepping down from the CEO role and he will be succeeded by Peter Karwowski.
