Grumpy Cat Hardcover Racks Up 100K Preorders

Grumpy Cat, the internet meme and feline sensation, is just as popular in print as he is online. Dynamite Entertainment reports nearly 100,000 preorders for The Adventures of Grumpy Cat & Pokey, a hardcover collection of the Grumpy Cat periodical comics series that will be released in February.

Pre-orders for the Dynamite book have effectively sold out the forthcoming hardcover collection. The third issue of the wildly popular periodical series about a sourpuss cat and his bubbly sibling will be released this week.

The series is written by Written by Ben Fisher (Smuggling Spirits), Ben McCool (Captain America and the Korvac Saga), Royal McGraw (Detective Comics), and Elliott R. Serrano (Army of Darkness), and featuring art from Ken Haeser (The Living Corpse) and Steve Uy (Avengers: The Initiative).

The Adventures of Grumpy Cat & Pokey ($12.99) will be released in comic shops and bookstores in February 2016. The title can be purchased in digital editions from Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.
